How LionLearn works

1. Learn — short lessons that explain one thing

Each lesson covers a single idea and takes about 10–14 minutes. The structure is always the same: what you will learn, the concept, a worked example broken into steps, the common mistake, a quick check, and a summary.

Maths always shows the steps. Science always explains the cause-and-effect chain.

2. Practise — three modes for three purposes

• Learn mode: instant feedback after each question, hints and explanations available, no time pressure.
• Practice mode: answer the whole set, then review results with a breakdown by topic.
• Exam mode: timed, flag questions for later, warned about unanswered items before submitting, full analysis afterwards.

3. Mistakes — collected automatically, classified by you

Every wrong answer creates or updates a mistake record: when you first got it wrong, how many times, what you answered, and what the correct answer was.

The error type is chosen by **you** — concept, calculation, misread, careless, language or method. The system only suggests; it never overrides your judgement, and a teacher can correct it.

You can also write down why you think you got it wrong. That single sentence is usually worth more than redoing the question ten times.

4. Review — fixed intervals, not a black box

Every card due today tells you exactly why it is due. The whole scheduler is deterministic and explainable — no model inference is involved anywhere.

• First time wrong → review after 1 day.
• Wrong again during review → comes back later the same day.
• First time correct → 3 days.
• Two in a row → 7 days. Three → 14 days. Four → 30 days.
• Wrong again after a long gap → the interval resets.
• Harder questions and weaker topics come back sooner automatically.

5. Mastery — a transparent score

Each topic carries a 0–100 mastery score computed from stated rules: correct answers add (less as you approach 100), wrong answers subtract (more when your score was high), a correct answer after a hint adds only a little, and untouched topics decay gently.

We always show how many questions the score is based on. A conclusion drawn from 5 questions is not as trustworthy as one drawn from 40, and we do not present them as if they were.
