What you cannot do, and why

The parent account is **read-only**. You cannot answer questions for your child, and you cannot change how they classified a mistake. This is deliberate, not a technical limitation: the moment a parent can answer on a child’s behalf, every mastery number on the site becomes meaningless.

Linking to your child’s account

Linking requires your child’s participation. They open Settings → Parent access, generate an 8-character code, and read it to you. You enter it on your dashboard. The link only becomes active once that code is entered correctly.

Nobody can view a child’s learning data by knowing an email address alone.

How we avoid creating anxiety

No class rankings and no comparison against other children.
Reports are split into "improved this week" and "worth some attention" rather than reduced to a single score.
Mastery always states how many questions it is based on — when the evidence is thin, we say so.
A broken study streak produces no punitive messaging of any kind.
